About the Role
Kenya Red Cross Society, a premier humanitarian organization dedicated to enhancing community wellbeing, health, and resilience across Kenya, is seeking an ERP Web Portal Developer based in Nairobi. The role involves designing, developing, supporting, and continuously improving enterprise web applications, APIs, middleware, and integrations that interface with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premises.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of secure, scalable C#/.NET solutions, maintaining existing enterprise codebases with backward compatibility.
- Create and support staff, partner, beneficiary, and public-facing portals using technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Vue.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Design and implement integrations with Business Central, collaborate on AL integration codeunits, and develop APIs and web services for Business Central.
- Build secure REST APIs implementing OAuth2/OpenID Connect and maintain middleware and synchronization services.
- Troubleshoot application issues, coordinate software releases, and work to reduce technical debt.
- Conduct code reviews, execute testing and quality control processes, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including architecture and API references.
- Engage stakeholders by collecting requirements, training users, and providing technical advice.
- Supervise external consultants, vendors, and interns and administer security and compliance by applying secure coding best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Mandatory certifications: Microsoft Certified Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (MB-800) and Developer Associate (MB-820) or equivalent, supported by documentation.
- Desirable certifications include Azure Developer Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert, Scrum Master/Developer, ITIL Foundation, and Power Platform Developer Associate.
Experience
- At least five years of growing responsibility in enterprise application development.
- Minimum of three years with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central.
- Proficient with C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, .NET, SQL Server, REST APIs, Business Central integrations, and AL integration codeunits.
- Experience in maintaining enterprise codebases, conducting code reviews, producing technical documentation, and overseeing consultants, vendors, and interns.
Technical Competencies
- Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, Vue.js, Tailwind CSS, Responsive Design.
- Back-end: C#, ASP.NET MVC/Core, .NET, Entity Framework.
- Business Central: APIs, Web Services, AL fundamentals, Integration Codeunits.
- Database: SQL Server.
- Engineering Tools: Git, Azure DevOps, Secure SDLC, Testing, Documentation.
