About the Role
Join Ideagen's technology team in Brisbane as a Software Engineer Level 1 to assist in designing, developing, and supporting innovative software solutions. Collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to enhance your technical skills and engage in the entire software development lifecycle within a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to gather and clarify software requirements.
- Coordinate with UX designers and solution architects to plan development activities driven by user stories.
- Create and maintain data models, repositories, and reusable APIs utilizing REST and GraphQL technologies.
- Develop practical algorithms and software that fulfill business objectives.
- Integrate data from various sources, including IoT devices, to ensure seamless functionality.
- Author unit tests and engage in code reviews to uphold quality and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to verify new features and prevent regression issues.
- Prepare and update technical documentation such as solution architecture, test plans, and deployment guides.
- Support the release process and provide third-level software support as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in developing applications using Microsoft .NET Framework, especially C#.
- Experience with relational databases, particularly SQL Server.
- Familiarity with cloud development environments like AWS or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with API development and testing, including GraphQL.
- Understanding of API security protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, OWASP, and security configurations like NGINX.
- Knowledge of web development technologies including TypeScript and React.
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle processes.
