Equity Research Analyst Intern

Role Overview

We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst Intern with a foundation in finance and a keen interest in the stock market, investments, and financial scrutiny. The candidate should be proficient with financial data, particularly Advanced Excel, and eager to leverage Python to enhance data research, analysis, and reporting.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct research on publicly traded companies, industry sectors, and financial market trends.
• Monitor stock movements, sector-specific trends, macroeconomic conditions, and corporate news.
• Gather and analyze company financial statements, annual reports, and market data accessible publicly.
• Assist in evaluating financial performance indicators such as revenue, profits, margins, valuation metrics, and ratios.
• Create comparative company analyses, financial summaries, research briefs, and in-depth analytical reports.
• Use Advanced Excel for data organization, financial calculations, and building analytical models.
• Explore Python tools for financial data analysis, visualization, and automating workflows.
• Support the development of presentations and documentation for internal investment discussions and research.
• Employ trustworthy public sources to collect and verify information relevant to research projects.

Qualifications and Skills

• Basic knowledge of stock markets, equity instruments, and fundamental financial concepts including market capitalization, P/E ratio, EPS, and balance sheets.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel functions.
• Basic Python skills or strong enthusiasm to learn Python for financial data analysis.
• Strong research aptitude, numerical analysis capability, and clear written communication skills.
• Passion for financial markets, investing, and understanding business fundamentals.
• Academic background in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines preferred.
• Familiarity with company valuations, financial statements, or fundamental analysis is advantageous.
• Exposure to financial platforms, Power BI, or Python libraries such as Pandas and Matplotlib is a plus.
• Interest in the integration of technology and artificial intelligence skills to advance financial research techniques.

Compensation

This internship provides a stipend in the range of 5000 to 10000 INR monthly.
