Job description
Overview
A leading sovereign wealth fund ranked globally in the top 10 is seeking an Equity Research Analyst specializing in the TMT sector to join their Investment Team in Doha, Qatar. The role emphasizes coverage of Telecoms, Space, and Satellite industries across geographic regions including Europe, North America, South America, and Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth equity research on companies within Telecoms, Space, and Satellite sectors.
- Evaluate both publicly traded and pre-IPO firms preparing for market listing across various continents.
- Develop and update complex financial models to inform investment decisions.
- Conduct detailed valuation analyses to support portfolio management.
- Assist in the execution processes of investment transactions.
Required Expertise and Experience
- Between 8 to 10 years of equity research experience, ideally with exposure at a major bulge bracket bank, reputable boutique brokerage, or a long-only asset management firm.
- Proven track record in analyzing companies in at least one of these areas: Telecoms, Space, or Satellite industries.
- Candidates with equivalent backgrounds in private markets investment focused on the same sectors may also be considered; however, public equity experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in financial modelling and valuation methodologies.
Additional Information
The position is open at a senior level, either Director or Vice President, depending on the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
