Equipment Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure seamless operations with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment to guarantee reliable performance.
• Identify and repair mechanical failures, including those affecting pneumatic and hydraulic systems, bearings, guide rails, drive mechanisms, and equipment frameworks.
• Handle basic electrical troubleshooting covering sensors, limit switches, contactors, frequency inverter alarms, and motor wiring issues.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs, suggesting enhancements to reduce recurring equipment failures.
• Replace spare parts as needed and assist in monitoring spare parts inventory levels.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and restore production operations swiftly to minimize downtime.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of practical experience in maintaining industrial equipment.
• Proven mechanical diagnostic and repair expertise with the capability to work autonomously.
• Preferred basic electrical troubleshooting abilities and proficiency in interpreting simple electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with basic electrical diagnostic tools such as a multimeter.
• Demonstrated responsibility and competency in managing emergency maintenance and equipment breakdowns within production settings.
• Certification in electrician work, welding, or operation of specialized equipment is advantageous.
