Role Summary

We are recruiting a full-time, onsite EOT (Electric Overhead Travelling) Crane Technician and Rigger based in Doha, Qatar. This position involves conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining EOT cranes encompassing mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems. Duties extend to corrective repairs, assisting with crane installations and commissioning, while ensuring all activities comply strictly with safety regulations and manufacturers' standards.

As a rigger, the role demands planning and executing safe lifting operations, choosing and inspecting lifting equipment, and coordinating with crane operators and site supervisors to facilitate safe load handling. Maintaining precise service records, documenting defects, and maintaining open communication channels with clients and internal teams are also essential for promoting safe and efficient site activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Comprehensive technical expertise regarding EOT cranes' mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including the skill to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Practical experience in rigging: performing load calculations, proper use and inspection of lifting gear, and signaling and coordination during lifting operations.
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and regulations pertinent to crane maintenance and lifting tasks with a focus on safe working methods and risk recognition.
• Competence in fault detection, preventive and corrective maintenance, and basic diagnostics using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Hold a technical diploma or qualification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance or possess equivalent hands-on experience in crane servicing and rigging.
• Previous exposure working in industrial, construction, or lifting equipment sectors, ideally within the Middle East or regions with comparable heavy-industry environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities, with readiness to work onsite adhering to instructions and liaising closely with supervisors, crane operators, and clients.
• Preparedness to work in field environments, including elevation when necessary, and to comply with organizational procedures and quality standards.
