About the Role

Kingdom Services Group Ltd is seeking a dedicated Environmental Enforcement Officer to join their team based at the Aura Business Centre in Skegness, East Lindsey. This full-time permanent position involves safeguarding the local environment by tackling environmental crimes, promoting cleanliness, and engaging with the community to foster safer surroundings. The role requires driving a company vehicle, so candidates must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct proactive and responsive patrols throughout East Lindsey to identify environmental offences.
  • Investigate a range of environmental violations including fly-tipping, waste offences, abandoned vehicles, graffiti, littering, and other related crimes.
  • Positively interface with residents, businesses, and the public to educate on environmental regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices where applicable and gather evidence for enforcement actions.
  • Utilize enforcement technology and surveillance tools as needed for investigations.
  • Prepare thorough reports and case files, support legal processes, and provide witness testimony when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation and company policies.

Working Hours and Conditions

  • Standard workweek consists of 37.5 hours across 5 days out of every 7.
  • Shifts operate between 07:00 and 19:00, with weekend work possible based on operational demands.
  • The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires adaptability to shift patterns.

Requirements

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be aged 21 or over due to insurance regulations.
  • Undergo and clear a Basic DBS check.
  • Provide a full five-year employment history that is checkable.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with the public.
  • Capability to work independently, make sound decisions, and maintain attention to detail, especially in report writing.
  • Previous experience in enforcement, security, customer service, or other public-facing roles is beneficial but not essential.
  • Show flexibility and resilience to meet service needs and adjust to varying working schedules.
