Entry-Level Paint Prep

About the Role

Technibus, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Paint Prep associate to join the Paint Shop / Finishing department. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this hourly, non-exempt position is based in Canton, Ohio. This opportunity is suited for candidates with some manufacturing background who are motivated to learn the painting and finishing workflow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding and smoothing parts or units.
• Clean surfaces by wiping off dust, dirt, and oils to enhance paint adhesion.
• Apply caulking materials neatly to seams and joints to ensure proper sealing and finish quality.
• Support preparations for paint booth operations and finishing processes.
• Maintain an orderly and tidy workspace, including regular upkeep of tools and equipment.
• Operate safely on ladders to reach elevated or difficult spots during preparation.
• Collaborate closely with the paint and finishing team to meet production standards and deadlines.
• Adhere strictly to safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Assist with additional preparation or general manufacturing tasks as assigned by supervision.
