Position Summary and Responsibilities

Howe Sound Pulp & Paper Corporation seeks entry-level labourers who may be assigned duties across all mill areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to housekeeping, operating equipment, and various general mill tasks based on priority needs. The role involves working in a 24/7 operation with a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, inclusive of weekends and holidays. Candidates must be willing and able to meet these shift demands.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of assigned work areas
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Carry out other duties as assigned
• Work both indoors and outdoors under all weather conditions
• Perform repetitive manual tasks such as prolonged standing, walking, shoveling, climbing, bending, and lifting
• Operate or work in proximity to machinery and equipment safely
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team members
