Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct impactful product demonstrations, technical presentations, and interactive workshops that clearly align Datadog’s capabilities with client goals.
  • Manage technical proof-of-value (POV) projects end-to-end by defining use cases and requirements, establishing success criteria, creating detailed project plans with timelines, and ensuring accountability of all stakeholders.
  • Develop and nurture technical advocates within customer organizations to promote Datadog adoption and build internal consensus.
  • Provide structured feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer insights, representing the customer’s technical perspective to influence product direction.
  • Ensure meticulous record-keeping of activities, deal progress, and customer interactions in the relevant systems to maintain operational excellence.
  • Work collaboratively across Product, Support, and Go-To-Market teams to address customer needs and resolve any technical challenges.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or another technical customer-facing position in an enterprise setting.
  • Expertise in managing complex stakeholder groups with the ability to tailor communication effectively for technical, business, and executive audiences.
  • Strong technical background involving public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, application performance monitoring (APM)/tracing, security, developer experience, and observability tools.
  • Excellent communication skills capable of conveying technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • A consultative mindset focused on problem-solving and enhancing customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize multiple sales opportunities in a dynamic environment.
  • Embraces a growth mindset, willing to adapt to change and utilize AI tools.
