Job description
About the Role
We are developing and expanding our hyperlocal (on-demand) logistics business at Delhivery and seek a proactive individual to take charge from the outset in acquiring customers, driving go-to-market strategies, and establishing a sustainable revenue model. This role encompasses the full sales spectrum: discovering opportunities with SMEs and enterprises, closing deals, and fostering ongoing client relationships. It primarily focuses on building from the ground up, combining new client acquisition and account growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales process from identifying prospects to pitching, closing, and growing accounts, targeting leads with a monthly transaction value ranging from 5 lakh to 10 lakh INR.
- Engage and onboard SME and enterprise clients onto Delhivery's hyperlocal logistics platform.
- Develop a robust sales pipeline utilizing outbound sales, strategic partnerships, and market analysis.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and deliver excellent customer support.
- Drive account expansion and retention by seeking upsell and cross-sell prospects.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of customers' supply chains and last-mile delivery requirements.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategies, pricing frameworks, and provide product-related feedback as an integral early team member.
- Build foundational processes to enable scaling of this business vertical and become a dependable logistics partner for clients.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Between 2 to 5 years of experience in B2B sales with an emphasis on customer acquisition roles.
- Previous exposure to logistics, on-demand delivery services, or supply chain management platforms.
- Demonstrated success in both SME and enterprise sales.
- Proficient in consultative solution-based selling rather than simple transactional sales.
- Self-driven with a strong ownership mentality, thriving in startup-like environments.
- Solid understanding of last-mile delivery logistics, including fulfillment and operational challenges.
What Sets This Role Apart
- You will build your own client portfolio instead of inheriting existing accounts.
- Directly influence the establishment of a new business vertical within Delhivery.
- Potential for growth into more senior roles as the division expands.
