About the Role
The Internal Security Department (ISD) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Singapore's internal security by countering threats from foreign subversive elements, spies, extremists, and terrorists. With a legacy spanning 75 years, ISD offers a meaningful and challenging career dedicated to maintaining Singapore's safety, security, and sovereignty.
As an Enterprise Infrastructure Specialist, you will join a proactive team focused on developing and maintaining advanced enterprise environments using cutting-edge technological solutions. Your role will encompass the planning, design, and deployment of Cloud solutions across public, private, and hybrid models, along with PaaS and virtualization technologies. This position offers a comprehensive exposure to ICT transformation efforts and consultancy opportunities on new infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee sophisticated enterprise infrastructure systems.
- Assess and implement innovative tools and strategies to enhance system performance and ensure resilience.
- Automate and manage operating system upgrades and modifications.
- Address and resolve technical challenges related to data center operations promptly.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including internal departments and external vendors, to integrate vital systems and projects.
Candidate Profile
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with systematic problem-solving aptitude.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Preferably possess experience or knowledge in data center technologies such as Windows Server, SAN/NAS storage, and data backup solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization environments, including Microsoft, RedHat, VMware, and Hyper-V, is advantageous.
