The Role and Team
As part of the Enterprise Business Development Representative (BDR) team, you will be on the frontline driving Adyen's commercial efforts by identifying promising high-value prospects and supporting pipeline growth. This role moves beyond traditional BDR responsibilities, focusing on strategic campaign design, execution, and generating substantial pipeline opportunities among large-scale merchants.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize high-potential accounts using insight-driven data and commercial strategies.
- Design and implement market-responsive campaigns closely aligned with buyer needs and organizational priorities alongside Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships.
- Conduct targeted, multi-channel outreach utilizing tailored messaging relevant to merchant challenges and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic account plans and refine outreach strategies based on feedback.
- Employ AI-assisted tools and workflows to enhance prospecting efficiency and uncover early-stage opportunities.
- Engage with prospects at industry events to cultivate new business opportunities through focused, personalized interactions.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Curiosity to deeply understand customers, products, and relevant signals, with a strong interest in payments and fintech trends.
- Adaptability in communication style and outreach tactics suited to different prospects and opportunities.
- Resilience to persist through ambiguity, rejection, and the demands of long sales cycles.
- A strong sense of ownership, accountability for outcomes, rapid learning, and a proactive mindset.
- Good judgment to prioritize engagements, pipeline management, and timing of communications.
- Proven sales savvy, including familiarity with enterprise deal qualification and close collaboration in deal processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence a range of stakeholders, including senior prospects and internal teams.
- Comfort and enthusiasm in leveraging technology and AI tools to optimize sales activities.
- Strategic thinking with focus on long-term business objectives beyond immediate metrics.
- Fluency in both German and English, in speaking and writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, consulting, or roles within go-to-market functions.
- Exposure to CRM systems and sales engagement platforms.
- Interest or experience in fintech or payments industries.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to be part of a diverse, global, and rapidly growing team.
- Ownership of your impact with clear potential for career advancement.
- Experience handling complex enterprise sales and strategic initiatives.
- A culture emphasizing speed, trust, collaboration, and personal development.
