Enterprise Architect – Cloud, AI & Digital Architecture

Client and Role Overview

In collaboration with a leading global enterprise known for innovation and excellence, Dautom seeks an Enterprise Architect to drive strategic initiatives focused on cloud-native, AI, and digital technologies. This contract-based role is located onsite in Abu Dhabi and requires availability with a notice period from immediate up to 30 days.

Role Summary

The selected professional will steer enterprise-wide architecture efforts emphasizing cloud, AI, data platforms, and modern application frameworks. Collaborating cross-functionally with technology leaders, cybersecurity teams, DevSecOps units, and business stakeholders, the role demands crafting secure, scalable, and resilient technology architectures that align with governance, security protocols, and evolving tech landscapes.

Core Responsibilities and Technical Expertise

• Lead enterprise and solution architecture initiatives with emphasis on cloud-native architectures.
• Design and evolve architectures across cloud platforms, applications, data integration, infrastructure, security, and AI technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse technical and business teams to ensure scalable and secure solutions.

Required Technical Proficiencies

• Profound knowledge in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, and Cloud Architecture.
• Extensive experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
• Expertise in microservices design, REST APIs, API management, event-driven systems, and distributed architectures.
• Hands-on skills with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, and automation frameworks.
• Expertise in AI/ML system architecture, Generative AI technologies, MLOps, and AI platform infrastructures.
• Understanding of GPU-enabled infrastructure and AI compute environments.
• Solid background in data architecture, platforms including data lakes and lakehouses, integration, and analytics systems.
• Working knowledge of enterprise integration methods, messaging platforms, and API gateways.
• Strong grasp of cybersecurity standards and secure architectural principles.
• Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF; familiarity with Zachman advantageous.
• Exposure to architecture management tools like LeanIX, Ardoq, Sparx Enterprise Architect preferred.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related domain.
• 10 to 15+ years of robust IT experience, notably in enterprise, solution, cloud, or technology architecture.
• Demonstrated track record designing multi-domain technology solutions at enterprise-scale.
• Direct involvement in cloud transformation, application modernization, AI, data, and digital transformation projects.
• Experience in large, intricate enterprise environments preferred; exposure to UAE/GCC markets highly valued.
• Familiarity with regulated sectors such as government, defense, aerospace, or finance considered an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• TOGAF
• Cloud Architecture Certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalents
• Security Certifications such as CISSP or CISM
• AI/ML and Data Architecture Certifications
• Enterprise IT Governance Certifications like ITIL
