About the Role
This role focuses on managing a designated territory in New South Wales (NSW), primarily targeting the acquisition of new enterprise clients while expanding existing customer relationships. The incumbent is responsible for generating fresh business opportunities through strategic outreach, engaging senior executives, and applying value-driven selling techniques.
Key duties include crafting and executing comprehensive territory, account, and opportunity plans, nurturing relationships with senior business and technology leaders, and steering complex sales processes from initial contact through to deal closure. Collaboration with channel partners and internal teams is essential to help clients overcome challenges related to data security, governance, and digital workplace solutions using the AvePoint Confidence Platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a targeted plan to secure new clients across NSW.
- Build a qualified sales pipeline by prospecting, networking, leveraging partner relations, and conducting strategic account-based outreach.
- Establish and nurture relationships with senior executives and decision-makers at target organizations.
- Manage complex enterprise sales cycles progressing from qualification to negotiation and closing.
- Create detailed account plans, stakeholder mappings, and tailor customer value propositions.
- Partner with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services to drive effective sales campaigns.
- Utilize and manage channel partner networks to generate and advance new business opportunities.
- Keep forecasting, pipeline status, and CRM data accurate and up to date.
- Oversee a small existing customer portfolio, identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and renewals.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience in enterprise software sales.
- Proven track record in acquiring new enterprise clients and prospecting within large organizations.
- Experience selling to enterprises with over 1,500 employees.
- Expertise in executive-level relationship development and stakeholder management.
- Capability to handle complex sales involving multiple stakeholders.
- Familiar with enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC.
- Strong abilities in prospecting, negotiation, and developing account plans.
- Possess accountability, resilience, and a proactive urgency mindset.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 and associated platforms.
