Engineering Technician

Position Overview

As an Engineering Technician based in Doha, Qatar, you will perform routine maintenance on company vehicles, such as engineering trucks, shuttle vans, and electric carts. Your duties include checking essential components like oil, fluid levels, tire pressure and wear, charging batteries, and replacing spark plugs. You will also conduct preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by cleaning and lubricating them, while keeping accurate maintenance inventories and requesting parts as required.

Daily Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed daily records of operations, maintenance, and safety-related activities including test outcomes, instrument readings, equipment malfunctions, and repairs.
• Observe company safety and security protocols, report any hazards, malfunctions, or incidents, complete safety trainings and certifications consistently, and ensure proper storage of flammable materials.
• Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and utilize appropriate telephone etiquette.
• Foster positive working relationships to support team goals and respond constructively to employee concerns.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, manipulating various tools requiring fine motor skills, and carrying out visual inspections for defects.
• Carry out other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Completion of Technical, Trade, or Vocational school degree.
• Experience: Minimum two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• Supervisory Experience: None required.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required.
