Engineering Project Manager

Joining our IS&T Retail Engineering team means you will help build and maintain the technology that powers Apple’s global retail operations. We are currently looking for an accomplished Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead engineering projects that span the full project lifecycle and impact Apple’s retail technologies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget, involving diverse systems such as the Apple Online Store, Apple Store app, point-of-sale systems, and various cross-functional platforms. This role requires orchestrating collaboration between engineering, business, and partner teams, effectively bridging technical and business perspectives. The dynamic nature of the work means managing projects ranging from planned initiatives to urgent regulatory requirements, often across multiple time zones and changing contexts.

Required Qualifications

• Experience managing and successfully delivering cross-functional engineering projects through all stages of their lifecycle.
• Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines independently with minimal guidance.
• Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle, system architecture, and integration techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical expertise or hands-on engineering experience that enables active input on architectural and technical decisions, even when project scope is ambiguous.
• Background in enterprise-scale technology environments supporting retail or e-commerce, familiar with e-commerce platforms, payment systems, POS, or consumer retail applications.
• Experience coordinating cross-continental teams and stakeholders, with project management certification(s) such as PMP, Agile/Scrum, or hybrid Agile-Waterfall.
• Familiarity with Generative AI and large language models for aiding documentation, reporting, and data synthesis.
