Role Summary

As Engineering Manager, you will oversee comprehensive engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring the upkeep of the building, grounds, and physical facilities while prioritizing safety, security, and asset preservation. Your responsibilities include budget management, capital projects, preventive maintenance planning, and regulatory adherence. You will assist in emergency response leadership related to facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with facility regulations, safety codes, and licensing requirements.
• Implement and supervise energy conservation and economical facility operations.
• Write specifications, manage contracts, and oversee service providers to support facility needs.
• Schedule and control preventive maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely, quality completion of work orders.
• Supervise maintenance of grounds, guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, vehicles, and recreational equipment.
• Develop and execute long-term preventative maintenance and asset protection plans.
• Plan and manage construction or renovation projects, including contractor selection, bids, and budget compliance.
• Maintain positive relationships with government departments and external vendors.
• Train and support fire safety teams and conduct monthly property inspections to uphold high facility standards.
• Conduct guest room and public space inspections to assure guest satisfaction.
• Oversee procurement of new equipment, supplies, and furnishings and manage inventory efficiently.

Candiate Profile and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or related fields plus technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing systems; OR
• Associate degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of experience in engineering and maintenance.
