Role Overview
As an Engineering Manager, you will drive innovation and oversee the development and delivery of complex, critical systems aligned with business goals. Your leadership will foster career growth for your team by mentoring them and conducting thorough performance evaluations. You will champion best practices and identify opportunities to improve the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build innovative, scalable, reliable applications addressing challenging technical problems.
- Establish development best practices and pursue continuous product lifecycle improvements.
- Create strategic roadmaps for system and product scaling, ensuring on-time and quality execution.
- Collaborate with designers, business analysts, and product managers by delivering clear plans and estimations within an Agile framework.
- Develop clear career paths for team members through consistent, in-depth mentoring.
- Regularly assess team performance and encourage constructive feedback exchange.
Essential Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of experience in reputable product companies, preferably including startups.
- Proficient understanding of scalable web backend, streaming, full stack development, and resolving production/performance challenges.
- Strong expertise with highly scalable architectures and large-scale transactional, relational, complex web or desktop systems.
- Proven track record in recruiting, leading, and expanding top engineering teams in startup environments.
- Deep understanding of business processes with the ability to apply technology for effective implementation and optimization.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with hands-on development experience designing scalable systems.
- A passion for contributing to the growth of innovative product startups.
