Role Overview

This full-time remote position is for an Engineering Manager responsible for leading a geographically dispersed engineering team. The manager will guide technical direction, oversee the delivery of application features, and coordinate software development projects. Collaboration with product, design, and operations teams is essential, alongside managing integrations with internal and external systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a distributed engineering team to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
• Set and enforce technical standards and best coding practices to maintain reliability.
• Plan and supervise development projects, managing dependencies and timelines.
• Coordinate system integrations involving APIs, payment gateways, and third-party services.
• Mentor and support engineers, fostering inclusive and collaborative team culture.
• Identify technical risks proactively and suggest continuous improvements.
• Contribute to scaling the platform to improve performance and security.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in engineering management including technical team leadership and architectural decision-making.
• Strong skills in mentoring, performance management, and promoting inclusive environments.
• Hands-on background with modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud architectures.
• Project management expertise, particularly in agile environments, including planning, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience integrating APIs, payment gateways, third-party services, and internal platforms.
• Educational background with a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience developing or scaling fintech, investment, or high-availability consumer applications is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work efficiently across remote teams.
• Knowledge of security, compliance, and reliability best practices in software systems is beneficial.
