Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the development of foundational large language models using supervised fine tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback. The role is fully remote and offers a competitive salary based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead technical teams of 20 or more developers skilled in Python, JavaScript, Java, and other languages to ensure effective task execution.
- Work closely with researcher clients to guarantee satisfaction with the outcomes delivered.
- Implement stringent review procedures to maintain the highest dataset quality.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation through stability, remaining accountable for successful delivery.
- Drive initiatives to improve the code quality within the engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management position.
- Proven ability to lead and manage large technical teams in a results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript programming languages.
- Hands-on technical expertise with a focus on identifying and resolving quality-related problems.
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities aimed at motivating and guiding teams.
