Role Overview

We are searching for an enthusiastic Engineering Manager to join the Leap In! engineering group, now part of the broader Attain Healthtech engineering community. This role demands a versatile leader skilled in both technical and people management, overseeing multiple engineering squads. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will guide technical direction, architecture, delivery workflows, and stakeholder engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to senior engineering leadership efforts to foster a high-caliber engineering organization.
• Support squad leaders in maintaining backlogs, providing architectural guidance and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Work alongside engineering practice leads to strengthen engineering methodologies across backend, frontend, infrastructure, and quality domains.
• Track squad delivery rhythms and collaborate on efficiency improvements.
• Champion adoption of modern engineering practices, such as test-driven development, pair programming, and effective branching strategies.
• Provide mentorship on technology decision-making, software design, and workflows.
• Guide and develop engineers reporting to you.
• Advise on best practices in DevOps implementation within teams.
• Directly manage Engineering Team Leads across squads.

Required Skills and Experience

• Robust technical background in software engineering, supported by either a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent self-taught expertise.
• Proven experience leading and delivering large-scale engineering projects spanning multiple teams.
• Previous experience in team leadership roles.
• Familiarity with contemporary software delivery and operational practices such as trunk-based development, 12-factor app principles, and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog).
• Strong communication abilities coupled with a collaborative, team-focused attitude.
• Commitment to continuous code improvement and maintainability.
