Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the development of advanced large language models using supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback. This is a full-time remote position offering a competitive salary based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team comprising over 20 developers skilled in Python, JavaScript, Java, and other programming languages, ensuring effective execution of technical tasks.
- Work closely with researchers and clients to guarantee satisfaction with project deliverables.
- Implement stringent review protocols to maintain exceptionally high-quality datasets.
- Manage projects throughout all phases—from initiation through to stable deployment—taking full accountability for delivery outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for improving code quality and implement corresponding measures within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in an engineering leadership role.
- Proven track record managing large technical teams focused on delivery.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript programming languages.
- Hands-on technical capability, with experience in detecting and resolving quality-related issues.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills oriented towards motivating and guiding teams.
