Engineering Graphics and Design Faculty

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Graphics and Design Faculty member to instruct B.Tech and Diploma students at our EdTech platform, specializing in semester classes. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive technical knowledge and the aptitude to effectively convey drawing and design concepts through both theoretical and practical instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons in Engineering Graphics and Design to engineering cohorts.
• Conduct both theoretical lectures and practical sessions.
• Develop lesson plans, drawing sheets, assignments, and various study materials.
• Instruct students in manual engineering drawing alongside computer-aided design tools.
• Demonstrate drawing techniques utilizing AutoCAD and related software.
• Administer periodic assessments and critically evaluate student drawings and projects.
• Assist students in their preparations for university exams and practical evaluations.
• Provide personalized academic support and clarify doubts.
• Offer instruction through offline, online, and recorded formats as necessary.
• Foster a supportive and interactive classroom environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a B.Tech or M.Tech degree in Mechanical, Civil, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in teaching or industry roles.
• Prior experience teaching Engineering Graphics or Drawing will be advantageous.

Essential Subject Expertise

• Fundamentals of Engineering Drawing.
• Geometrical constructions and orthographic projections.
• Isometric projections and projections of points, lines, planes, and solids.
• Sections of solids and surface development.
• Dimensioning techniques and scale usage.
• Freehand technical sketching abilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and basic 2D/3D design software.
• Principles of engineering design.

Required Skills

• Expertise in Engineering Graphics and Design disciplines.
• Strong drawing, visualization, and design aptitude.
• Competence in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or similar 3D design tools is preferred.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly in English and Hindi.
• Effective communication and classroom management skills.
• Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart-classroom technologies.
• Patient, confident, and dedicated to student success.
