Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all departmental policies, service protocols, and quality standards.
• Consult with duty engineers to prioritize tasks and review logbook for pending jobs.
• Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during duties.
• Maintain a safe working environment in all areas.
• Inform Engineering Supervisor and Duty Engineer immediately if maintenance jobs require extended time.
• Prepare and mix materials such as mortar, paste, cement, and slacking lime to specification.
• Repair or replace surfaces including concrete, terrazzo, quarry tile, wall tile, ceramic flooring, and specialty floors.
• Execute diverse masonry tasks including bricklaying, concrete finishing, insulating furnaces, plastering interior and exterior walls, and installing slide gates and runner inserts.
• Install, repair, or replace ceilings, floor, and wall tiles.
• Utilize power tools like saws, grinders, drills, and demolition hammers as appropriate.
• Demolish old masonry and install new brick, block, or concrete structures as needed.
• Close maintenance requests promptly in communication devices after completing tasks.
• Respond swiftly to service orders from Knowcross for assistance, requests, or emergencies.
• Maintain cleanliness and order at job sites after work completion.
• Provide daily progress updates to Duty Engineer or Engineering Supervisor before shift end.
• Record all activities in the logbook prior to leaving the shift.
• Obey departmental procedures and instructions.
• Respect hotel policies, especially regarding guest room access for repairs.
• Practice hotel emergency fire procedures and safety precautions.
• Collaborate effectively within the engineering team to meet departmental goals.
• Maintain and repair guestrooms and public areas consistent with the Perfect Room Program.
• Ensure electrical rooms, workshops, and equipment are clean and operational.
• Participate in health, safety, and hygiene trainings such as safety induction, on-the-job training, and toolbox talks.
• Keep maintenance records accurate and current.
• Monitor the Knowcross system and react promptly to escalated issues or work orders.
