Engineer, Facility Management

Job Overview

As a Facility Management Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining excellent professional relationships with both internal teams and external clients, ensuring efficient facility operations at the Data Centre. Your duties will include prompt responses to service requests, managing emergencies during shifts, as well as routine inspections and upkeep of mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain positive and professional interactions with internal and external customers.
• Respond swiftly to customer service requests and emergency calls during shift work.
• Carry out daily walkthrough inspections of the Data Centre to identify and document any faults or defects.
• Record detailed logs of M&E equipment and execute routine checklists to monitor environmental conditions and ensure critical systems are functioning correctly.
• Keep the Data Centre clean, clear of debris, and ensure safety protocols are followed during installations or maintenance by subcontractors and vendors.
• Support the Shift Lead during briefings and handovers, updating incoming teams on unresolved matters and standing instructions from management.
• Document incidents and field service activities accurately and maintain proper filing.
• Comply fully with quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Adhere to all site-specific policies and practices.
• Be willing to travel internationally for assignments when required by supervisors or department heads.
• Perform additional tasks reasonably assigned by immediate supervisors or department heads.
