Job description
Overview
We are offering an engaging opportunity for a Business Planning Engineer based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This role involves comprehensive responsibilities ranging from inventory management to preparing annual production plans and monthly forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop forecasts collaboratively with raw material, utilities suppliers, and olefin buyers to enable optimal production capacity planning.
- Maintain coordination with government entities, private parties, and neighboring companies regarding raw materials, utilities, and business forecasts.
- Regularly update departmental databases and master sheets with production, consumption, sales, and performance data on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, distributing updates to relevant departments.
- Oversee pricing reviews and pipeline sales quantities aligned with month-end closings.
- Prepare and examine supply agreements pertaining to utilities, raw materials, and pipeline sales.
- Design and supervise economic models and olefin inventory management systems to support strategic decisions enhancing overall profitability at TASNEE.
- Assist plant operations by forecasting tolling requirements and coordinating among involved parties.
- Collaborate with team members to generate comprehensive management presentations, charts, reports, and analyses as prioritized by the department.
- Participate on a rotational basis in on-call duties and holiday coverage to manage emergency or critical assignments.
- Contribute to the formulation of the annual business plan for management consideration.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable safety, quality, and environmental standards to maintain workplace safety, compliance, and responsible operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within the petrochemical sector.
Essential Skills
- Strong engineering analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competence in data collection, financial analysis, and business acumen.
- Ability to manage time effectively and organize work efficiently.
- Proficient computer literacy with advanced Excel capability and presentation skills involving Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Skilled in economic analysis, planning, and organizational tasks.
