About the Role
Join EY and contribute to fostering a high-performance culture as an Employee Relations Manager at the Assistant Director level. This recruitment includes one permanent role and one 12-month parental leave contract, allowing you to be part of a dynamic team undergoing significant growth and transformation. Both roles offer hybrid working flexibility and can be based in any EY office across Australia or Auckland, New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the escalation point for managing intricate and high-risk employee relations cases.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, General Counsel, and other talent specialists on investigations, restructures, acquisitions, and other complex ER matters.
- Engage with leaders at various levels to deliver practical and effective resolutions for sensitive employee issues.
- Provide expert advice and informal coaching to Employee Relations Advisors handling complex cases.
- Contribute to ER-related projects including legislative updates, policy development, and processes enhancement.
- Maintain a healthy work-life balance supported by a flexible hybrid working environment.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate with senior organizational leaders.
- Proven experience managing complicated and escalated employee relations issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and statutory requirements.
- Up-to-date understanding of case law, legislative changes, industrial awards, and emerging employee relations challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with employment legislation and ER practices in both New Zealand and Australia is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical and solution-oriented mindset.
- Capability to work independently while effectively cooperating within a specialist team.
- Demonstrated success in managing diverse stakeholders and navigating sensitive scenarios.
