About the Role
Join EY as an Employee Relations Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract, contributing to a positive and high-performing workplace culture. Based in Auckland, New Zealand, this role supports EY's Oceania Employee Relations Centre of Excellence by providing practical guidance to leadership on various employee relations matters. You'll gain exposure to complex workplace issues while engaging with strategic initiatives to enhance employee experiences and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with EY leaders to provide effective advice on employee relations, including performance management, probation, and fitness for work.
- Assist Employee Relations Managers with complex cases involving investigations, restructures, disciplinary actions, and workplace risk mitigation.
- Participate in strategic initiatives related to Employee Relations and Talent functions, supporting continuous improvement and enhanced workplace experiences across Oceania.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience advising on employee relations matters within HR advisory or generalist frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and the ability to apply practical, business-aligned solutions.
- Skills in building trust, influencing stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities in dynamic settings.
- Preferably 2-3+ years managing employee relations cases including performance, conduct, probation, or wellbeing issues.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities balancing employee needs, business goals, and risk factors.
- A proactive attitude aligned with continuous learning, collaboration, and improvement.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a supportive team environment.
