About the Role
We are seeking a culturally knowledgeable and passionate Emirati Heritage Consultant to join our team in Dubai. This position supports the development of projects and initiatives that showcase the rich cultural heritage, traditions, history, and identity of the United Arab Emirates.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert advice on Emirati history, customs, culture, and heritage.
- Conduct research on UAE's cultural heritage, historical landmarks, traditional practices, and local communities.
- Assist in creating cultural programs, exhibitions, educational materials, and heritage initiatives.
- Review project content to verify cultural authenticity and accuracy.
- Guide teams and stakeholders on proper representation of Emirati cultural elements and traditions.
- Help document oral histories, traditional crafts, stories, and cultural knowledge.
- Collaborate with museums, cultural organizations, government agencies, researchers, and community representatives.
- Support initiatives for cultural heritage preservation and awareness.
- Prepare reports, presentations, cultural briefs, and other project documentation.
- Participate in interviews, workshops, fieldwork, and community engagement activities.
- Identify ways to promote UAE heritage through modern educational and digital channels.
- Ensure all cultural projects comply with UAE heritage guidelines and maintain respect and authenticity.
Candidate Profile
- Deep knowledge of Emirati history, traditions, culture, and heritage.
- Strong research, analytical, and documentation capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to clarify cultural subjects to varied audiences clearly.
- High attention to detail and cultural sensitivity.
- Capable of working independently and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
- Passionate about the preservation and promotion of UAE heritage.
- Professional attitude with a community-oriented focus.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Heritage Studies, History, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, Archaeology, Museum Studies, Tourism, Arts, or related disciplines preferred.
- Experience in cultural heritage, museums, tourism, education, research, events, or cultural programming is advantageous.
- Strong familiarity with Emirati heritage and UAE cultural customs highly valued.
- Experience collaborating with cultural institutions, heritage sites, community groups, or government projects beneficial.
- Arabic language proficiency, especially with local terminology and cultural expressions, is a plus.
