About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous Estimator to become an essential member of our Interior Design & Fit-Out team based in Dubai. This role is crucial in shaping successful bids by translating architectural drawings and specifications into precise and competitive cost estimates across various sectors including residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail fit-outs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, and specifications to determine the complete scope of work.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs using architectural, joinery, MEP, and finishing drawings.
• Develop well-founded, competitive cost estimates within stringent tender deadlines.
• Source and assess pricing proposals from subcontractors, joinery workshops, and material vendors.
• Maintain an updated database of costs related to materials, labor, and specialist trades.
• Offer value engineering solutions that maintain design intent while preserving project profitability.
• Assist in negotiations after tender submission and facilitate a smooth transition to the delivery team upon project award.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or related disciplines.
• Have 3 to 6 years of relevant estimating experience, preferably in interior fit-out, joinery, or contracting environments.
• Proficient in Excel and estimation software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or PlanSwift.
• Competent in AutoCAD for interpreting and measuring drawings.
• Demonstrate strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Exhibit excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with design, procurement, and site teams.
• Experience in the UAE market is preferred; knowledge of Dubai Municipality and Trakhees approval procedures is advantageous.
