Position Overview
The EMEA CapEx & Inventory Manager will be a key member of the Orthopaedics Worldwide Supply Chain Finance team, based preferably in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, Ireland or Zug, Switzerland. Reporting to the Senior Manager responsible for Worldwide Inventory and E&O reporting, this role collaborates extensively with a cross-functional team to improve visibility and control of regional cash flow drivers. It presents a unique chance to influence the franchise’s profitability and working capital efficiency through data-driven insights and strategic execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with commercial and supply chain stakeholders to establish and execute CapEx, Inventory, and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) management plans aligned with DePuy Synthes EMEA business strategy.
- Lead planning activities involving global, sourcing, regional, and local teams to manage CapEx and inventory targets.
- Translate overarching regional targets into actionable market-specific plans and enforce accountability at the local market level.
- Partner with regional and global teams to review financial outcomes related to capital expenditure and inventory management.
- Analyze and communicate financial performance metrics of working capital to franchise teams and markets.
- Drive initiatives aimed at optimizing costs and improving cash flow.
- Enhance financial and operational processes to enable more insightful conversations with business leaders and influence decision-making.
- Develop and sustain analytical frameworks to assess return on investment for working capital allocations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required; Master’s degree considered advantageous.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in financial business partnering emphasizing value creation, process enhancements, and strategic financial decision-making.
- Solid experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and US GAAP standards.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Alteryx.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, synthesize complex data, influence stakeholders and drive results collaboratively across departments.
- Strong comprehension of capital expenditure and inventory management processes and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) principles, including responsible AI use and creating effective AI prompts to boost productivity and decision quality.
- Excellent communication skills capable of delivering complex financial insights at operational and executive levels.
- English fluency is mandatory.

Additional Information
- The position may involve up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.
- Johnson & Johnson plans to spin off its Orthopaedics division as a standalone company, DePuy Synthes, within 18 to 24 months subject to legal and regulatory approvals; the role’s employment terms will transition accordingly after separation.
