EME Medical Information Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Medical Information Manager to strategically oversee Medical Information activities throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa (EME & MENA). This position ensures the provision of compliant and high-quality medical information services in these regions, managing outsourced providers and working collaboratively with global teams across Medical Information, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Medical Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Medical Information operations across the EME and MENA territories.
• Track and assess performance through Medical Information KPIs, quality benchmarks, and adherence to compliance standards.
• Manage medical enquiries ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Identify and lead initiatives to improve processes, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and update Medical Information documents including policies, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Handle complex, second-level, and escalated medical enquiries.
• Analyse enquiry trends to provide insights supporting business and patient needs.
• Lead Medical Information management specifically for the MENA region, ensuring timely enquiry processing and coordination.
• Facilitate adverse event and product quality complaint reporting consistent with pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Conduct literature research and address complex scientific and clinical questions.
• Serve as the main Medical Information contact for regional products and stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with external Medical Information service providers, monitor their performance, and conduct vendor audits and evaluations.
• Support management of deviations, corrective and preventive actions, complaints, and service improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with vendors and teams to resolve operational, compliance, or business continuity challenges.
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and internal procedures.
• Represent the Medical Information function in audits and inspections, aiding in compliance investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Contribute to Quality Management Review and governance processes, supporting quality and pharmacovigilance audits and document reviews.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Global Medical Information to provide insights and input into business projects and improvements.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement initiatives including new technologies and AI solutions.
• Participate as the Medical Information representative on cross-functional committees and governance bodies.

Candidate Profile

• Degree qualification in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or another relevant scientific field.
• Extensive experience in Medical Information, Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, or a related pharmaceutical area.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, Medical Information operations, and GxP compliance.
• Experience overseeing outsourced vendors and service providers.
• Proven track record in leading audits, investigations, and quality enhancement projects.
• Strong skills in scientific communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem resolution.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse countries, cultures, and organizational functions.
