Role Overview
The Elevator Mechanic will be responsible for daily upkeep, inspections, and repair tasks for elevator systems to guarantee their safe and dependable functioning. The position requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, replacing or adjusting parts, and handling emergency repairs. Additional duties include maintaining detailed service documentation, complying with safety and regulatory mandates, collaborating with supervisors and customers, and assisting with elevator installation or modernization assignments. This is a full-time position which requires work on location within the UAE and involves travel to various client sites.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven expertise in elevator maintenance and repair across multiple types of elevator systems.
- Hands-on experience in elevator installation, inspection, and modernization tasks.
- Sound understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures related to elevator components.
- Capability to perform troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Technical certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and standards concerning elevator operation.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and commitment to maintaining safe working conditions.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including on-call duties for urgent service needs.
