Role Overview
The Electronic Security Technician will carry out duties involving installation, commissioning, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and servicing of integrated electronic security systems. The role includes working on various sites and technologies, ensuring system reliability and meeting client standards. Opportunities include involvement with some of Queensland's largest security projects and enduring service agreements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Install and commission electronic security systems efficiently.
- Maintain and service access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion detection systems.
- Identify and resolve faults within security systems.
- Program and configure different security platforms accurately.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of new system installations.
- Prepare comprehensive service reports and project documentation.
- Deliver technical support to clients and project teams as needed.
- Ensure adherence to relevant Australian Standards and organizational procedures.
- Participate in after-hours support and on-call rosters when required.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an Electronic Security Technician.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities.
- Competency in commissioning and servicing integrated security systems.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing workload effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
- Dedicated to quality workmanship and maintaining safety standards.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Gallagher, Integriti, Tecom, Milestone, Genetec, and Avigilon systems is advantageous.
Qualifications and Licences
- Current Queensland Security Provider Licence.
- Valid Queensland open driver’s licence.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Cabling licence is preferred.
