About the Role

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) specializes in delivering comprehensive and valuable solutions spanning the full lifecycle of assets. These offerings encompass licensed leading-edge process technologies, expert advisory services, extensive technical know-how, energy transition initiatives, advanced design expertise, and intelligent solutions designed to enhance planned and operational assets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and modifications on various electrical apparatus including high, medium, and low voltage transformers, switchboards, switchgears, cables, terminations, motor control centers, and motors.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control systems such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), lighting systems, cathodic protection setups, hoists, and flare electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with electrical control and protection devices including PLCs, motor protection relays, and feeder protection relays.
  • Carry out basic repairs on electrical equipment and power circuits, while assisting in resolving complex electrical issues and breakdowns.
  • Interpret machine sketches, single line diagrams, complex control schematics, and flow charts to support precise maintenance operations.
  • Utilize all relevant tools and instruments necessary for performing the maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Proficiently operate and maintain testing and calibration tools including multimeters and insulation testers (Megger).
  • Understand the hazards associated with chemicals and materials used in oil and gas industries, ensuring installation and maintenance activities are conducted safely.
  • Maintain awareness of safety and environmental standards pertinent to oil and gas facilities.
  • Knowledgeable about work permit systems and Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures applied in large-scale industrial environments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Technical Diploma in the relevant electrical trade (12+3 years education).
  • Have at least 5 years of practical and relevant hands-on experience in electrical trade within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer sectors, demonstrating competence.
