Job Overview
We are engaged by our client to find an Electrical Supervisor responsible for managing electrical activities across multiple construction sites. This role ensures projects are executed with strict adherence to safety, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Supervisor will oversee electrical staff and subcontractors, coordinate resources, interact with clients, and guarantee project milestones are met successfully.
Key Duties
- Lead and supervise electrical teams and subcontractors across several ongoing construction projects.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate labour, materials, machinery, and equipment requirements.
- Perform pre-start surveys on sites to evaluate readiness before work begins.
- Track and manage productivity, quality standards, project timelines, and overall progress.
- Provide technical guidance and promptly address any on-site challenges.
- Liaise regularly with clients, contractors, and other involved parties to maintain effective communication.
- Ensure all electrical testing, inspections, and commissioning tasks are thoroughly completed.
- Accurately document site activities, variations, and handover paperwork.
- Promote strict compliance with Health & Safety policies and company protocols.
Qualifications and Skills
- Electrical Trade Qualification at FETAC Level 6 or equivalent.
- Certified in Quality Control Testing and Inspection.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification and First Aid qualification.
- Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications; additional credentials in IPAF/MEWP, LUGS, Abrasive Wheels, and SSSTS are a plus.
- Proven experience supervising electrical teams and overseeing projects from initiation to completion.
- Experience in Public Lighting works is particularly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of low voltage electrical systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Strong organisational abilities combined with excellent communication, leadership, and a vigilant safety mindset.
