Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing organization. This role offers a stable employment opportunity with a focus on equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and preventative maintenance. The position operates on a double days shift pattern (early and late shifts) and involves ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery by conducting both planned and reactive electrical maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and reactive electrical maintenance tasks.
• Identify and troubleshoot faults in electrical and control systems.
• Maintain and repair production machinery and related electrical equipment.
• Quickly respond to equipment breakdowns to reduce production downtime.
• Handle motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and electrical systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and enhance equipment reliability.
• Adhere to safety standards and ensure high-quality maintenance practices.
• Keep comprehensive records of maintenance actions and repairs.

Candidate Requirements

• Electrically qualified or time-served, preferably holding NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance environments.
• Proficient in electrical fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Experience with PLCs, motor drives, industrial control systems is a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a proactive maintenance approach.
