Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Static Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a Service and Maintenance team based onsite in Hoddesdon, England. The role involves conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, callouts, and assisting fellow engineers. Additionally, responsibilities include fabric maintenance and mechanical & electrical (M&E) tasks. The organisation boasts a steady growth trajectory with secured contracts extending through 2029.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM activities and repairs on site electrical systems and building services.
• Respond to callouts as part of an on-call rota schedule across the site.
• Assist other engineers with their maintenance tasks as required.
• Undertake fabric maintenance and relevant M&E works within the facility.

Requirements

• Proven experience performing repairs across various building environments.
• Electrical background with solid knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Completed C&G or NVQ Level 2 or higher qualifications is desirable.
• Must have a current Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
• Suitable for candidates with experience in building services, M&E, construction, industrial maintenance, facilities management, fire & security, or hire organisations.
• Applications accepted from individuals who have worked in roles such as Fabric Engineer, Electrician, Handyman, Plumber, Joiner, Gas Engineer, Air-conditioning Technician, Refrigeration Engineer, HVAC Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Multi-skilled Engineer.

Additional Information

• Salary: Basic £40,000 plus a £2,000 bonus.
• Working hours: 40 hours per week.
• Holiday entitlement: 33 days including bank holidays.
• On-call payment provided on a 1 in 5 rota.
• Overtime rates applicable for weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
• Private pension scheme offered.
