Role Overview
The Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator position is a full-time opportunity located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is pivotal in preparing comprehensive cost estimates for electrical and instrumentation scopes within EPC projects. Responsibilities encompass evaluating materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracted services to ensure precise pricing aligned with project needs and corporate standards.
Key Duties
- Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop accurate pricing models consistent with project requirements and company estimation protocols.
- Maintain and update estimation databases and cost benchmarks continuously.
- Contribute to refining and enhancing estimation processes and related tools.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven expertise in Electrical Estimating and Cost Control within substantial EPC or construction projects.
- Between five to seven years of practical experience in Electrical Contracting, with thorough understanding of electrical systems in industrial or infrastructure sectors.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is mandatory.
- Experience in estimation roles within EPC, construction, or oil and gas industries, preferably with exposure to Middle Eastern projects.
- Competence in using estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and other cost analysis tools.
- Strong analytical thinking, numerical aptitude, problem-solving capabilities, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating effectively in diverse, multidisciplinary, and multicultural teams.
