About the Role

Join MBDA's vibrant and inclusive manufacturing team as an Electrical Fitter based in Bolton, England. This position involves supporting the assembly and certification of a broad range of electrical hardware, from minor fixtures to sophisticated missile systems, throughout all product lifecycle phases. The role demands operational support aimed at meeting project objectives related to time, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble hardware consistent with specified drawings and technical requirements.
  • Maintain a secure and organized workplace following 5S practices.
  • Commit to meeting all deadlines, budget limits, and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to production cost targets.
  • Take ownership of top-tier workmanship and quality standards.
  • Complete all requisite manufacturing documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with operators, engineering, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and contribute suggestions for ongoing improvement.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess an Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Apprenticeship at Advanced Level or Level 3 Standard.
  • Hold a Level 3 academic honor in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing (such as ONC or diploma).
  • Have achieved a Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) in Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing, unless exempt due to apprenticeship completion.
  • Skilled at interpreting assembly drawings and planning instructions.
  • Experienced and confident in working with manufacturing tools, equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • Capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative without requiring close supervision.
  • Demonstrates dedication by going above and beyond to complete tasks to a high standard.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing work requirements.

Security Clearance and Eligibility

Applicants must be British citizens or dual UK nationals with British citizenship. Following a successful job offer, candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks coordinated by MBDA's Personnel Security Team.
