Electrical Estimator

Role Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Estimator with experience in transmission or utility electrical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have substantial familiarity with high-voltage (HV) substations ranging from 132kV to 500kV, alongside a solid understanding of transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, and HV systems. A background in electrical engineering, trade, or equivalent experience is essential.

Responsibilities and Skills

• Estimate costs associated with electrical transmission projects with strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Interpret electrical and civil design documentation effectively to inform estimations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of protection, control, SCADA, and communications systems in the HV space.

Requirements

• Qualifications in electrical engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience in estimation roles within the construction industry, preferably energy and natural resources sectors.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities to produce precise cost estimates.
• Proficiency with estimation software and related tools.
• Familiarity with Australian construction standards and electrical regulations.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the capability to meet deadlines.
