Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable Electrical Estimator to join our team and contribute to accurately estimating electrical project costs for various construction initiatives, ensuring competitive and reliable pricing for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates for construction projects, factoring in materials, labor, equipment, and scheduling parameters.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to formulate detailed and precise project financial plans.
- Assess and recommend electrical systems and products by evaluating cost efficiency, dependability, and safety considerations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to prepare thorough project cost assessments.
- Stay informed about industry developments, material prices, labor costs, and innovative electrical products.
- Perform risk evaluations and enforce electrical safety standards through all phases of project execution.
- Offer technical guidance and support to project teams when necessary.
- Compare actual incurred project expenses against estimates regularly, investigating any deviations.
- Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and discussions with clients as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years of experience in electrical estimating or a comparable role within the construction sector.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
- In-depth understanding of electrical systems, products, and safety protocols.
- Strong numerical aptitude for preparing accurate cost projections.
- Familiarity with project management software and estimating tools relevant to construction.
- Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities, adept at fostering positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Preferred educational background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or an allied discipline.
- Additional credential like professional certification in electrical estimating is beneficial.
- Highly detail-focused, well-organized, and precise in work output.
