Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to oversee and ensure the efficient functioning of seed potato storage and processing facilities. This role involves managing the electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, and utility systems to support agricultural industry processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee seamless operation of seed potato storage, grading, sorting, and packing units.
• Manage both preventive and corrective maintenance activities for electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, HVAC, and utility infrastructures.
• Monitor and regulate temperature, humidity, and ventilation to preserve seed quality.
• Diagnose equipment problems promptly and minimize operational downtime.
• Assist in equipment installation, commissioning, and system upgrades within the facility.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, conduct inspections, and prepare audit documentation.
• Initiate and champion energy efficiency and operational enhancement projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Between 2 to 8 years of practical experience in facility maintenance, cold storage, agriculture, or food processing sectors.
• In-depth understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, utilities, and maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is advantageous.
