Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven MEP Designer specialized in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. This full-time position involves developing and coordinating designs for various projects including residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial sectors. The candidate will work closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive MEP layouts, technical drawings, and documentation for building projects.
- Develop HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting system designs adhering to project requirements.
- Prepare 2D and 3D drawings, schematic diagrams, shop drawings, and ensure coordination to avoid design clashes.
- Perform design-related calculations including load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Verify compliance with building codes, Indian standards, and project specifications.
- Coordinate design efforts with architectural and structural teams and assist site teams in resolving technical queries.
- Update and revise designs based on client feedback and site conditions.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material and equipment schedules, and technical submittals.
- Monitor and supervise MEP design and site execution to ensure adherence to approved plans and quality standards.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience in MEP design focused on electrical engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and 3D for design and drafting purposes.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, Indian electric standards, and MEP coordination guidelines.
- Experience preparing daily progress reports (DPR) and technical documentation.
- Ability to perform load and equipment sizing calculations accurately.
- Competent in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts.
- Effective communication and project coordination skills.
Additional Information
The position requires onsite work as per project location, with possible assignments to various project sites. The role involves close collaboration with consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to maintain quality and compliance for MEP installations.
Compensation
The monthly salary range offered for this role is between INR 20,000 and INR 35,000.
