Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical maintenance and engineering duties at a hospital facility in Qatar. The role demands ensuring the safe, dependable, and efficient functioning of all electrical setups within the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage preventive and corrective maintenance tasks for hospital electrical systems.
• Carry out inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and upkeep of electrical equipment and systems.
• Guarantee the consistent operation of low and medium voltage systems, generators, UPS, ATS systems, emergency power setups, lighting, and distribution panels.
• Monitor the performance of equipment to maintain continuous operation of critical systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff, contractors, and hospital stakeholders effectively.
• Ensure all activities comply with Qatar's regulatory standards, safety protocols, and hospital guidelines.
• Keep accurate maintenance logs, inspection documentation, and technical records.
• Quickly respond to electrical emergencies and contribute to ongoing process enhancement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance roles.
• Prior exposure to hospital or healthcare facility electrical systems is highly favored.
• Strong expertise in Facility Management and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems including generators, uninterruptible power supplies, emergency power, and building services.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English, with Arabic proficiency being mandatory.
• Excellent skills in troubleshooting, communication, and problem resolution.
• Experience working within Qatar or the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is advantageous.
• Capable of functioning effectively in a critical healthcare setting environment.
