Electrical Design Engineer (Part-Time)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to contribute on a part-time basis in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and proven experience in electrical design within building and construction contexts. This role demands familiarity with local regulations such as QCS and KAHRAMAA, alongside engagement with international standards.
Applicants must be currently residing in Qatar and available for immediate joining.

Key Responsibilities & skills

• Design of electrical systems including LV systems, lighting, small power installations, and preparation of load schedules.
• Creation and review of single-line diagrams (SLD) and undertaking electrical calculations essential to project compliance and safety.
• Ensuring coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to achieve cohesive project outcomes.
• Utilizing AutoCAD and specialized electrical design software to prepare detailed designs and documentation.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical design for building-related projects.
• Comprehensive understanding of LV electrical systems, lighting, small power, and load management.
• Acquaintance with QCS, KAHRAMAA codes, and relevant international standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other electrical design tools.
• Excellent team coordination capabilities with various disciplines including architectural and MEP engineering.
• Preferably candidates with experience working in Qatar.
• Immediate availability and local presence in Qatar required.
