Position Summary
As an eBilling Specialist based in Porvorim, Goa, you will be part of a centralized team managing electronic billing for multiple law firms. Your scope includes onboarding new clients, maintaining existing ones through designated eBilling software and vendor portals, collaborating across teams, and ensuring timely invoice submissions along with handling resubmissions for corrections or appeals.
Work Schedule
The role operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit monthly electronic invoices adhering strictly to client and firm submission standards.
- Monitor invoice statuses from submission through acceptance and document issues and resolutions.
- Address invoice rejections to ensure successful submissions and maintain detailed resolution records.
- Manage residual balances by coordinating appeals with timekeepers or processing write-offs through designated staff.
- Act as the liaison among billing/collections teams, attorneys, secretarial staff, and clients concerning eBilling matters.
- Set up and update vendor portals for new matters, timekeepers, budgets, and billing rates.
- Investigate and resolve invoice rejections and other issues to facilitate proper invoice acceptance, while instructing timekeepers to prevent future errors.
- Coordinate invoice resubmissions and ensure corrective actions are implemented for future submissions.
- Support maintenance of eBilling manuals, guides, and training materials.
- Participate in analyzing industry trends and propose process improvements for greater efficiency.
- Handle special projects and other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- At least one year of professional experience in accounting, billing, invoicing, or related service roles, with strong communication capabilities.
- Service-oriented attitude with self-motivation, urgency, and pride in quality output.
- Excellent organizational aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in working with multiple software applications and on various online vendor platforms.
- Experience in law firms is preferred.
- Familiarity with eBilling platforms such as EbillingHUB, Tymetrix, or Serengeti is an advantage.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Office suite applications.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication to effectively collaborate with partners, attorneys, finance teams, clients, and vendors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Capability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
