About the Role
Join Bright Horizons Little Stars Day Nursery located in Harwell, England, where you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for children, staff, and families. The nursery, which accommodates 63 children and holds a 'Good' Ofsted rating, features well-resourced rooms, a spacious garden for outdoor learning, and offers extracurricular activities including Forest School.
Responsibilities
As an Early Years Housekeeper, your main duties will include consistently ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of children's bathrooms and nappy-changing areas throughout the day, managing daily laundry tasks, and assisting with additional nursery duties such as supporting during mealtimes and cleaning nursery equipment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning within either domestic or commercial environments is essential.
- Possession of Food Safety Certification at CIEH Level 2 or equivalent, with the qualification to be obtained by the first day of employment.
- Thorough understanding of COSHH regulations and health and safety standards.
- Strong communication abilities to engage effectively with colleagues, children, and parents.
Additional Information
- Contracted hours are 40 per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- The role is based onsite in Harwell with parking facilities and good public transport options.
