Early Childhood Educator

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement an Emergent Curriculum tailored to each child’s developmental needs.
• Maintain accurate daily documentation, including reports and attendance records.
• Support and promote children’s emotional, cognitive, physical, and behavioral growth.
• Work collaboratively with allied professionals such as Speech and Occupational Therapists as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, licensing regulations, and maintain appropriate room ratios.
• Engage actively in team meetings, professional workshops, and assist with classroom transitions.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Nova Scotia Early Childhood Educator license (Level 2 or 3).
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry clearance.
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification (Level B or C).
• Physical ability to push, pull, or lift items weighing up to 45 pounds.
